Ed DeYoung
Edwin DeYoung has been a GIS lecturer at Boise State for four years and has taught the GIS certificate courses for the University of Idaho for ten years. He has over 20 years of experience in the GIS industry and has worked in private consulting, city government, county government, and state government. He has also developed two-day GIS technical workshops for the State of Idaho and has taught GIS to thousands of people.
Edwin earned his BS in Geology in Michigan and MS in Earth Science from Montana State University. He used GIS to analyze and model Yellowstone County, Montana, landslide hazards.
Edwin is married and has three grown children. He likes to kayak, bike and camp with his family. Woodworking and golf are his hobbies.
